"We took a new to us car to Affordable Mechanics of America. They were the nicest people to work with. I dropped it off and they ran diagnostics on it. They text me to let me know where they were at and then called me with a detailed review of what needed fixed. They were honest and thorough and didn’t make me feel like I had to get everything done as some things were just for convenience and not necessary. "I'm glad I stopped in after seeing their advertising on Facebook. I came in with an issue in my car that two other mechanics thought they knew how to fix, and could not both times, wasting my time and money. They appear to be honest, no upselling on things you do not need, like so many shops do. I'm in the process of getting my repair done, and I'm hoping the issue is resolved or greatly reduced. They explained what it would be if this doesn't resolve the issue, bit they are confident it will. I appreciate the straight forwardness and comfort level dealing with the shop. They willingly explain all my questions so I can understand why and how something is happening that causes my issue. I'm already planning on returning for another minor repair I'm in need of in the next week or so. I want this to be my repair shop where honesty is priority. I also appreciate their ability to complete today's repair as I am a drive in with no appointment. Time will tell with me how reputable they will be, and I'm encouraged by other reviews I've read on their Facebook page." Richard Geul "Fantastic service and great price!" They are super nice, caring, and accommodating. You can tell they genuinely care. They will not try to upsell you on stuff you don't actually need. I went to a big chain shop and they told me all 4 of my motor mounts were bad. They quoted me $2100, with $1300 of that in JUST parts (for just 4 motor mounts!). I took it to AMA and upon inspection, it was just 1 mount that was bad and I walked out of there paying $180. I am only taking my car here from now on, I HIGHLY recommend them. This place is a game-changer----this is how auto repair should be."
